Who's the boss? (Quem manda aqui? in Portuguese) is the first of a series of books about politics for children.

It’s a book to talk to children in an humble way about power and hierarchy, and to question why those who give orders are able to do so.
The book was crowdfunded and then written collectively with the children in a series of workshops. The illustrations were made using a playful collective method of mixing fixed colors and shapes.
It was first published by Companhia das Letras, one of the biggest publishers in Brazil, and has sold its publishing rights to Chilean publisher Zig Zag.
The digital version of the book is available in Portuguese for free download under Creative Commons license here.
Text by André Rodrigues, Larissa Ribeiro, Paula Desgualdo & Pedro Markun
Companhia das Letrinhas, São Paulo, Brazil, 2015
The illustrations were made combining a set of geometric shapes and overlaying primary and secondary colours.
